Swiss Cheese

Okay, so I had to write a little paragraph for my English class about the most disgusting thing we've ever eaten and as I was re-reading it I thought to myself, Hey, this would make a good post and since nothing interesting has happened to me I think I just might post it! So here it is. And you'll notice right off the bat, or you should at any rate, that it is indeed longer than a single paragraph. You know me....when it comes to writing I never can write small. Short stories never were my thing, but I do my best... Anyway, here's my paper for you:

I had the privilege the other day to consume what is without a doubt the most disgusting thing I have ever eaten. Strange as it may seem, this thing was curds and whey, or a food other-wise known as ‘cheese’. The particular cheese to which I am referring is Swiss-cheese.

I like cheese. I’m not a huge fan, but I like it. This cheese however, was like no other cheese I had ever tasted. I can not fully describe to you how it tasted or to what I can compare it to, all I know is that it was disgusting and I shall never be eating it again.

I realize of course that to a number of people considered this to be a real “delicacy”, I on the other hand call it a real “disgust.” I admit that I have tried a great many things to which my tastes did not agree, for example; tomatoes and mustard. I would drag the list on, but there aren’t many things that I dislike so much as these.

It is strange to me how a person can not chose for themselves what their tastes so desire. What a world it would be if one could simply decide to enjoy the taste of spinach, and despise that of fat. How wonderful it would be also, if one could enjoy the taste of their own garbage –this, I’m sure, would reduce the bill for the garbage man.

The thing about that last sentence is that you have to also desire to eat something as strange and ...well, trashy as garbage. Anyway....What kind of food do you find most disgusting? What is the weirdest thing you've ever eaten or have been asked to eat? Did you eat it? Did you finish it?

blue cheese, I detest mold. And I hate it more on cheese! I've never eaten it, never plan to. I hear the French like moldy stuff though. But every one to his kind. Plenty of people like cows tongue. Bla!

Yuck! Yeah, before this assignment we read a story or an essay about someone eating pig-lips. How gross!

I, in fact, love cheese, which, just so you know, is MOLD! All of it!! But, I only like the simple types of cheese....no weird ones. Cheddar, pepper jack, etc. No foreign cheeses for me. I like regular mold! (But, not moldy cheese...that's gross. Who wants to eat moldy mold?)

I don't even know... maybe lobster? I mean, hellooooo, "cockroach of the sea"!
And just to put in my 2 cents... I also am not a big cheese person. I will eat the normal, cheddar etc., but only with something else... like crackers or in a casserole or lasagna or something.

Pickles! Pickles, pickles, pickles! They are NASTY! But I like Pepperjack cheese. It's pretty good.

I haven't actually eaten anything unusual, but I was offered Blood Pudding. Needless to say, I didn't accept. *shudder*

Oh, yeah, and mustard and tomatoes are gross. But that might just be me. Dad eats tomatoes like they're apples.

Hey, those are like exactly the two things that I really don't like, aside from Swiss Cheese that is... I tried coming up with a list, but those three are about as far as I got. But I can to realize that I really haven't tried many things in my life-time. I really should work on that.

Haha, Pickles, Pickles, Pickles. I love pickles! I love that they're way juices and green and....juicy...and green. But yeah, I like pickles. Probably just about as much as you DON'T like them...

What do you mean, I "don't like pickles"? I HATE them! When people open the jar and the noxious odor of nastiness fans out...*Hannah pukes*
