I've never classified myself as a klutz (nor am I now changing my mind), however what happened at the reception was pretty bad.
I was by the counter. The room was huge, of course, with a fuzzy red carpet spread out under the guest's feet; expect for the kitchen which was set in the corner of the room. The counter that I was by was big too.
I had a cup of punch in front of me (can you guess where this is going?) and my camera in front of the drink. There was a moment, and I really don't even remember what it was, when I wanted to take a picture. So, naturally, I grabbed the camera and pulled. I didn't know it then, but the cold liquid that fell all over my front made me realize it, was that my camera string happened to be around the cup. I had done that earlier to distinguish which cup was mine. So when I pulled the camera the drink came too. (For those of you who are curious I was the only victim of this tragic accident. Everyone around me managed to step back quickly enough.) My shirt and my skirt were drenched! And this was the same day when the sprinklers had got me! But thankfully the bride had an extra change of clothes.

hehehe Sounds like something I would do....but I'm not a clutz either!
:D
I remember moments like that.
Sometimes I am saved by actual scenes before they happen. I can see myself sprawled out on the floor from a rumpled carpet and fix the carpet, or the drink and the cord thing. I think that keeping myself from being labeled is a constant effort and full time job. I could feel the wet as I read your story.
You are not alone. I can picture these things because they used to happen all the time. =)
